About Baguapath

Clarity before mystery.

Baguapath is an educational project about the Ba Gua and related Chinese traditions. Our goal is to make unfamiliar concepts approachable while preserving their cultural context and the differences between schools of interpretation.

These are living traditions, not a single universal rulebook. Where evidence is uncertain or interpretations differ, we aim to say so.

Editorial policy

We distinguish traditional symbolism from scientific claims. We avoid fear-based readings, guaranteed outcomes, medical or financial claims, and statements that define a person’s worth or future. Our tools are designed for cultural learning, reflection, and entertainment.

When an article says that a concept is traditional, that does not mean we are claiming it has been scientifically established. We aim to name assumptions and note material limitations, such as the Life Gua year boundary.

Privacy

The Life Gua calculator runs locally in your browser. The birth date and sex selection are not sent to Baguapath by the calculator. A shared result link contains only the year-level result parameters shown in the address bar; it does not contain your exact birth date.

The current newsletter form is a visual preview and does not transmit or store the email address. Before launch, replace it with a consent-based email provider and add that provider’s privacy terms.

If analytics, advertising pixels, social embeds, or a newsletter provider are added later, this policy must be updated with their specific data collection and consent practices.

Affiliate disclosure

Some future product links may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, Baguapath may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Recommendations should be selected for relevance and quality, not solely by commission.

We do not present product purchases as cures, guaranteed protection, or requirements for good fortune.
