Bedroom Bagua,
without overdoing it.

A practical way to map your bedroom, prioritize rest and safety, and use each sector as a reflection prompt.

How to map a bedroom

Decide whether you are using measured compass directions or an entrance-based overlay. Sketch the room, mark the center, and identify each of the eight surrounding sectors plus the center. Keep the method consistent when comparing the bedroom with the rest of the home.

Where should the bed go?

Start with structural safety and practical use. A stable headboard, clear access on both sides when possible, and enough distance from doors and hazards usually matter more than fitting the bed into a symbolic sector. Avoid heavy objects above the pillow and ensure that the bed does not block emergency exits.

Avoid decorating every sector

A bedroom does not need eight special objects. Too many colors, plants, mirrors, or symbolic cures can make the room busier and less supportive of sleep. Choose one practical improvement, such as softer lighting, better storage, or a calmer surface beside the bed.

Should partners use the same map?

Some personal-direction systems assign different favorable directions to different people. Shared bedrooms cannot satisfy every preference perfectly. Prioritize sleep, safety, temperature, and each person’s comfort. Read the sleeping-direction guide for the Life Gua approach and its limits.

Common questions

Should there be a mirror in the bedroom?

There is no universal requirement. Use mirrors where they are useful and safe, and avoid a placement that causes glare or confusion at night.

Is the wealth area the most important part of a bedroom?

No. A bedroom’s primary function is rest. Treat symbolic wealth labels as optional prompts rather than a priority over sleep and safety.
